• PORTAL WITH NREAL / CONCEPT DESIGN

    The underlying concept of PORTAL with Nreal is “transforming your room into a more convenient and enjoyable shopping space than an ordinary store.” It was born out of the recent trend of experience-oriented stores. The role of brick-and-mortar stores is changing today. Stores are becoming the places where people can experience the world of the brand, as shopping itself has become available online conveniently. The trend will change online shopping experiences as well. We believe that online shopping needs to become more than just a convenient way to buy things, it needs to be experience-oriented and become a place where you can experience the world of a brand with all five senses. We developed PORTAL to embody this concept.

  • Create while thinking, think while creating

    The project schedule of PORTAL with Nreal was extremely tight. We had to complete all of the tasks, from planning, development to booth design, within about one and a half month. After we had decided on the basic concept of the PORTAL experience, we created test prototypes and brushed up the service idea.
    We use agile methodologies for content development, but our directors, designers, and engineers worked more closely than usual, which resulted in enhancing our team collaboration and accomplishing the service design and the content development in the extremely tight schedule.
    For the field test, we went to Nreal’s Beijing office and tested our prototypes in a mock booth that was the exactly same as the Nreal booth at CES. These creative approaches to the concept design and the content development led us to the great success of PORTAL at CES.

  • Concept of Room Filter

    At the end of the PORTAL with Nreal experience, users will get “Room Filter” as a purchase gift. It overlays AR effects on a room and let them immersed in the world of PORTAL. We believe that in the near future, brands will not only sell their products but also value their brand concepts and offer immersive brand experiences. In such a highly immersive space, we will enjoy more seamless and convenient shopping empowered by AR.
